Manila Harbor Center (MHC) witnessed the oath-taking of the new members of the Regional Maritime Unit – National Capital Region advisory group last 13 October.

The ceremony, held at the GAD Center in the Navotas Fish Port Complex, was followed by discussions among stakeholders regarding priorities and strategic issues in accordance with the PNP ITG-PGS (Patrol Plan 2030). Raymund Y. Fran, MHC PFSO security manager, exchanged insights with other attendees on how stakeholders can align their political, socio-economic, cultural and moral development needs with the policies of the national police.

The RMUs of the Philippine National Police (PNP) are tasked with ensuring public safety and internal security over Philippine territorial waters, rivers and coastal areas including ports. MHC supports the PNP’s present and future initiatives, and shares the mandate to secure the entry and exit points of the port facility.
